VIRRY
ABOUT THE PROJECT:
VIRRY was an ambitious project - it allows people to engage virtually with real African animals up close and in their natural habitat. It starts with a ground-breaking mobile app, where users learn facts, answer questions, and interact through video experiences.
The next step was Sony PlayStation - filmed in 4K VR at the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya, using strategically placed high-definition cameras. Finally, the experience was ported to Oculus Rift & Gear VR.
The project won many awards including a coveted WEBBY and a BAFTA Childrens.
OUR ROLE:
We started by building native mobile experiences for Android and iOS. Then we moved to VR - Sony PlayStation. At that time, Sony VR had just opened for developers and we were lucky to be one of the pioneers. Finally, in partnership with Facebook and Oculus, we ported the VR experiences to Oculus Rift & Gear VR platforms.
